EN 50600 and ISO/IEC 22237

EN 50600 and ISO/IEC 22237 are closely related data center facility and infrastructure series, but they are published through different standards systems and their individual parts do not necessarily have the same edition or publication status at the same time.

EDITION AND SELECTION

Why the edition matrix matters

On 23 August 2026, ISO listed Parts 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 as published International Standards. Parts 5 and 7 still had published Technical Specifications while replacement documents were under development.

01

Specify each part

A contract should identify each applicable part and edition rather than cite only the series name.

02

Check national adoption

EN editions differ by part, and national adoptions can add a prefix or adoption date. Local code obligations still require verification.

03

Selection and conformity

Selection should follow jurisdiction, owner risk, customer and procurement requirements, portfolio basis, and intended assessment. Conformity to one series does not automatically prove conformity to the other.
